An absolutely incredible & rather rare, Vintage genuine Egyptian sarcophagus locket with its own little mummy kept safely within!
This exquisitely detailed piece, boasts a very solid opening sarcophagus locket pendant, that is perfectly detailed to depict an Egyptian Pharoah. Sealed to its side with a very secure clip, the sarcophagus can be clipped open to reveal its matching mummy within.
This Divine Vintage piece is estimated to be dated to sometime between 1940-1960, with genuine Egyptian hallmarks to the foot at the front and back of the sarcophagus, as well as the mummy, indicating that both the sarcophagus locket, and mummy are both original and matching to one another! The hallmarks show that this piece is crafted from solid 800 silver and was assayed in the Egyptian city of Tanta.
A especially nice example, this unique & Rare find would make an impressive addition to any collection, particularly desirable to anyone who appreciates Egyptian crafted silver jewellery.

Condition
Very Good vintage preloved condition with some signs of wear that are commensurate with age and use. Some minor signs of rub wear to the finer details are present. Some minor marks and scratches are present. The clip is very secure, and opens and closes with a tight snap. The bale attachment to the top is soldered, ensuring durability while worn. Hallmarks are crisp and clear. Chain and display box shown in the photos is not included with purchase.
