Purchasing Guide

At Athena Rain Collective we pride ourselves in sourcing the best quality estate, vintage and preloved pieces for our customers. Our pieces do not come with valuation certificates, unless stated otherwise. Like all second-hand items, there is potential for them to display some imperfections or blemishes, however all effort is made to disclose the condition and any flaws.

Photographs are a large part of the description. Please ensure to study these prior to purchase. Please note you are purchasing secondhand used jewellery. These have been worn and should not be expected to be in new condition.

The purchaser is to accept full responsibility that they have examined and read the description thoroughly before completing their purchase.

identity checks

Due to an ever increasing risk of fraud and credit card charge backs,  we will occasionally request that our customers provide supporting documents to prove their identity. Eg. screen shot proof of payment and or drivers license details. These checks are done in the best interest of both ourselves, and our customers. We reserve the right to refuse our service to any customers that are unwilling to comply with an identity check, if requested to do so. 

Caring for your new item

we recommend consulting with a skilled and qualified jeweller in regards to how your new piece should be cared for, as different pieces require different care depending on various factors. Any after care, cleaning or altering, of our items of any kind,  is to be done so at the risk of the buyer, and we do not take any responsibility for any damage or loss that may incur through the after sale decisions that are made by the buyer relating to the item purchased from us and their own chosen methods of cleaning, care and storage of their purchased item.   

 Re-sizing

We do not offer, nor recommend re sizing for our items.  If you wish to have the size of an item altered after purchase, we recommend consulting with a skilled and qualified jeweller in your area. It is at the buyers discretion to take into account any irreversible damage that may be caused to an item by altering or resizing.  

 

Returns & Refunds

At Athena Rain Collective we do not offer any returns or refunds on items for “change of mind” or if the item does not fit.

We have provided a size guide that can be found in the main menu of our website, and we recommend utilising this prior to confirming your purchase.  

Refunds will only be issued if an item has been proven to be considerably misrepresented. Contact must be made within 48 hours of confirmed delivery. The item and all received packing will need to be returned via Australia Post via express post, at buyers own cost, with tracking details within 7 days. Refunds will not be processed until the item has been received in the condition as originally sent.

*Please note, we do not accept returned items that have been resized or altered from the condition in which they were sold. All of our items are phographed in detail prior to being listed on our website, in which we retain copies of detailed photos of all of our items that have sold, and we reserve the right to refer to those photos as we see fit. 

Athena Rain Collective reserves the right to refuse a refund if any criteria outlined above has not been met.

Lay-buys & payment plans

 We do offer lay-buys and payment plans on purchases of $400 or over. variable term agreements are available, dependant on the price of the item you wish to purchase. if you wish to discuss lay-buy or payment plans, simply send us an inquiry via email. Please include details of the item you wish to enquire about. Payments for lay-buy and payment plans are strictly to be paid via direct bank transfer. We recommend establishing an automatic regular payment deduction to ensure payments are met within the agreed time frames. We require a 15% non refundable deposit to secure payment plan and lay-buy agreements.  Deposit payment MUST be paid within 2 hours from confirmed agreement, to secure purchase. This is done so to enable a fair purchasing environment for our customers.

We reserve the right to cancel the agreement at any time should payments not be met within the time frames that are agreed upon prior to commencement of a lay-buy or payment plan. On the occasion that a payment plan or lay-buy is cancelled due to non payment, all monies paid, excluding the initial 15% deposit, will be refunded to your chosen bank account within 14 days.
