A perfectly pretty and unique Vintage 1950's - 1960's circa Norwegian manufactured sterling silver and enamel detailed split band ring, by renowned Norway jewellery manufacturer, Aksel Holmsen.
This wonderful piece flaunts an abstract butterfly like split band design, crafted from solid sterling silver and beautifully detailed with a bright teal green enamel.
Aksel Holmsen, originally taught by and worked for David Anderson from the late 19th to early 20th centuries, later opened his own silver and enamel workshop in Norway. Initially specialising in enamel filigree designs, Aksel Holmsen became a leading Norwegian manufacturer of silver and enamel goods up until the business closed in 1971.

Condition
Good preloved vintage condition, with some signs of wear that are commensurate with age and use. Some loss to the enamel detail is present. The band is nice and round, showing no significant signs of thinning. Some fine marks scratches and vintage patina may be present.
