Perhaps the most highly regarded animal in Australia during the 19th century, the horse was an essential addition to the progress of everyday life and Highly prized for their strength, stamina, personality and temperament.
This delightful vintage barrette clip displays a hand etched portrait of a horse, proudly harnessed in a bridle. The portrait is framed with rope like detail, and complemented with intricate feathered etching, creating an opposite mirror image pattern on either side of the clip.
Assumably Australian in craftsmanship, this piece has been hand made and is stamped STERLING to signify its fine metal content.
A unique piece that looks gorgeous when worn, or would also make a lovely collectors piece to be admired and cherished for years to come.
