Fabulous Vintage 1930's Art Deco 9ct Gold Amethyst & White Sapphire Pendant

A completely fabulous Vintage 1930's cira, Art Deco 9ct yellow gold pendant flaunting a generous natural bright purple Amethyst stone, of approximately 5.7 carats, and adorned with a sparkling halo of 17 natural round cut white sapphire stones, of approximately 1.53 carats combined. 

 

An absolutely stunning princess style pendant, that is guaranteed to garner glances of adoration wherever it is worn!

 

This eye catching piece is rather substantial in design, boasting a strong and sturdy 4 prong setting, with a solid 9ct gold open work back, allowing the large amethyst stone to capture light from multiple angles, while also remaining securely caged within its quality setting.

•  Unstamped - common for Vintage jewellery of this era. Has been tested as AT LEAST 9ct solid gold. 
•  Weighs a generous 3.4 grams.
•  Measures approx 27mm long X 15mm wide X 10mm deep. Measurement include the bale attachment. 
•  The large Amethyst stone of approximately 5.7 carats, measures approx 12mm long X 8.5mm wide  X 9.7mm deep
•  17 White sapphire stones of approximately 1.53 carats combined. Each white sapphire  stone measures approx 2.5mm X 2.5mm.
• All stones have been tested to confirm authenticity.
•  The bale attachment is crafted to fit a dainty /thin chain with the bale opening measuring approx 2.5mm X 2.5mm.

 

Condition

 

Good vintage preloved condition with some signs of wear that are consistent with age and use.  All stones are present, and sit securely in their settings.  No missing or broken stones.  All stones present in nice condition. No notable scratches, chips or damage to the stones of any kind is present. Some fine marks and scratches to the gold are present. The bale attachment is secure and strong, although unsoldered. The bale attachment could be soldered closed by any skilled jeweller for added strength and security if desired.
