A splendid collectors piece, this ornately detailed Antique vesta case is a delightful piece of history. Assayed in Birmingham in 1902, this piece was manufactured by Joseph Gloster Ltd.
Joseph Gloster, was an adept Silversmith operating from Lion Silver works, Hockley Hill in Birmingham from 1890-1967.
Well Known for his intricately detailed portable cases, compacts, coin holders and purses, speciality pieces made by the works of Joseph Gloster are highly desirable and sought after by today's collectors.
Displaying delightful bright cut engraving to both the front and reverse of this vesta case, with an engravable banner kept clear for the purpose of a set of personalised initials, if desired.
Unique to most vesta cases, this piece displays a match striker at the base, and an original stamped jump ring of larger size, for it to be worn or carried on a chain of choice.
