Interesting & functional Antique silver plated coin holder with a bail loop to be worn as a fob attachment. Ornate art deco style floral detail adorning the front and back.
Made in England by James William Benson.
Could be worn with a fob chain, or used on its own, or of course, simply preserved as a collector's item.
History:
James Benson was the founder of S.S & J.W Benson in 1847, advertising as watch & clock makers, as well as silver / Goldsmith's and jewellery makers, Later trading as J.W. Benson from 1855 onwards. Throughout his career, J.W Benson ltd. Produced watches and such for Royalty, and the military. J.W Benson passed away in 1878, aged 52, in which his 3 sons continued on the business in his legacy.

- hallmarked- made in England, and a shield with ' J W 'above' B'
- measures 75mm H including bale attachment, and 55mm W X 15mm D.
- silver electroplated over brass.
Condition:
Very good antique condition considering age. Only minor rubbing of silver plating. All sprung held coin slots are in good working order. No major dents or damage to note.
