Celebrate over 120 years of history with this delightful antique solid sterling silver lucky pig charm, hallmarked in Birmingham, England, 1902. Beautifully cast in solid silver, this charming little pig features a wonderfully rounded body, curled tail and expressive facial details, showcasing the quality craftsmanship of the Edwardian era.

Far more substantial than the hollow examples often encountered, this solid silver charm has a satisfying weight and feel, making it a particularly desirable piece for collectors of antique jewellery and English silver.

For centuries, the pig has been regarded as a symbol of good luck, prosperity, abundance and happiness. During the Victorian and Edwardian eras, lucky charms became immensely fashionable, with people wearing miniature talismans believed to attract fortune and protect the wearer. The pig was especially treasured because healthy livestock represented wealth, security and a plentiful life. As a result, pig charms were often given as thoughtful gifts to celebrate birthdays, weddings, New Year's festivities and other important milestones, carrying heartfelt wishes for a prosperous future.

Today, antique lucky pig charms remain highly sought after for both their symbolism and their delightful character. Whether worn on a charm bracelet, Albert chain or necklace, they make a meaningful heirloom and a fascinating collector's piece.
