Dated to approximately 1910, this sweet little 3D kewpie doll pendant is beautifully detailed to the front and back, complete with a cheeky little traditional kewpie grin on a cute round face, and a chubby little belly.
Kewpie's, originally created as cartoon comic characters By Rose O'Neil in the year 1909, very quickly became popular worldwide, and have remained highly sought after by modern day collectors.

Hallmarked to the reverse with a simple 9CT stamp, consistent with many early Australian pieces of 9ct gold jewellery.
Estimated to be dated to 1910 circa.

Condition
Very good preloved Antique condition with only very minor signs of wear, considering the age of this piece. Although hollow, this piece presents with no dents or damage, and very nicely preserved details. A gentle Antique patina is present, aswell as some fine superficial marks and scratches. Overall, this piece is in beautiful Antique condition.
