A wonderful piece of Antique Australian history, we have this 15ct gold monogrammed 'AWA' pendant, manufactured by prominent Melbourne jewellers, Willis & Sons.
Estimated to be dated to 1910 circa, this piece is crafted with solid 15ct old yellow gold, and flaunts unique and nicely detailed monogrammed lettering, representing the "Australasian Womens Association".
Formed in sponsorship of the Australian Natives association, circa 1900, the Australasian Womens Association was a friendly society, with intentions to provide health benefits and social support to Australian born women.
An interesting addition for anyone who appreciates Australian history, and Australian produced jewellery, this piece would make an excellent addition to any collection.
