Antique 1920's circa Paye & Baker sterling silver Kewpie doll ring

A beautiful old 1920's circa sterling silver Kewpie doll ring, crafted by American jewellery manufacturing company, Paye & Baker.  

An exceptionally desirable collectors piece, this wonderful little kewpie doll ring flaunts a nicely detailed kewpie, seemingly resting with his chin in his hands, giving a sweet little side eye glance. The shoulders of the ring are beautfully detailed with art deco patterning, adding an extra touch of unique antique charm to this splendid piece!

To the reverse of the kewpie, full hallmarks can be found, complete with a makers mark for Paye & Baker and a Trade mark kewpie stamp, as a guarantee of authenticity and age. 

Kewpie dolls, originally a comic creation by Rose O'Neill in the year 1909, quickly became a worldwide sensation, and have remained a particularly popular choice for collectors of all kinds, throughout the last century.  

A fantastic addition to any collection, this piece is sure to bring joy and encourage curiosity wherever it is worn! 

Details

• Full hallmarks are present, including a triple heart makers mark with "P&B" for Paye and Baker. "STERLING" Stamp, and "TRADE KEWPIE". There also appears to be worn Stamps hidden within the inside of the shoulders. 
• This piece measures as a size 5 1/2 US or K UK/AU. Could be resized if desired. 
• The inner diameter of the band measures 15.5mm. 
• Weighs 2.3 grams. 
• The kewpie measures approx 15mm X 6mm. 

Condition 

Good antique preloved condition, showing some minor signs of wear that are commensurate with age and use.  Some minor signs of rub wear to the kewpie are present. Some fine marks, scratches and antique patina are present. The shank is nice and round, showing no significant signs of thinning.
