Antique 1880's 9ct Gold & Enamel La'belle Époque Cameo Tassle Pendant Necklace

An absolutely stunning Antique La Belle Époque era cameo & tassel pendant necklace. Estimated to be dated to 1880 circa, and Handcrafted in Solid fine 9ct old yellow gold this incredible piece boasts a solid and heavy mesh link chain that is connected by its ends, to an intricately detailed and extremely elegant shield pendant, and fastened by a traditional antique box clasp. 

The beautiful pendant, being the key focus of this piece, boasts a small and charming sardonyx hardstone cameo with a carved depiction of a Victorian era woman in classical dress.  Above the head of the cameo is a tiny and lustrous natural seed pearl, and to the base of the pendant is an additional interchangeable tassel pendant that is perfectly matched to the rest of this piece with gorgeous black enamel pattern detail. 

An incredible and hard to find heirloom piece, as well as a spectacular addition to any collection this brilliant fine handcrafted piece is sure to become a personal favourite amongst any collection of fine jewellery.

Condition

Very good preloved Antique condition with some signs of wear that are commensurate with the age of this piece and simply add character to a piece of this age.  No chips or damage to the cameo. Seed pearl in very nice condition retaining nacre and appearing with a nice white/cream lustre.  Slight thinning to pendant loops and tassel loop.  Mesh Chain is in very good condition.  Box clasp clicks closed firm, and opens well.
